Your Voice consists of 3 groups of residents, community members and tenants whom make recommendations for improvements in Housing Services - helping to ensure that we are offering the best services possible for all.
Each group takes part in regular meetings, speak to staff and residents, and be part of focus groups and studies. This all goes towards making recommendations on how to improve services.
One such member, Gary Lindsay, has sent us information on why he decided to get involved with Your Voice...
"An awareness and understanding of housing-related procedures and support services is not always easy for everyone; and living in an over 60's Housing Scheme, I wanted to be part of the 'Your Voice' initiative to try to ensure that my neighbours and myself were fully aware of what is available - and put in place appropriate measures or amendments in order to fill any recognised 'gaps'.
Furthermore, if services should fall short of what can reasonably be expected, I will endeavour to use the voices, feedback and complaints of residents in order to bring about changes which are 'fair' to all parties."
