This is Dave Ashmore, Director of Housing Operations and Angela Raftery, Assistant Director of Housing Operations.
Both Dave and Angela originally joined us as interims and we’re pleased to report that they have been appointed on a permanent basis.
Dave joins us from Coventry City Council, where - as the Director of Housing and Transformation - he implemented significant improvements for local families and residents through an improved housing offer. He also led on Coventry’s emergency response to Covid, which included rolling out community testing across the city.
Dave has lots of experience in transformation, leading programmes on customer service, digital and property to improve and integrate local services. So with Northwards going back into Manchester City Council, he brings valuable experience to deliver a new and improved housing service to north Manchester.
Dave said: "It’s great to be here on a permanent basis. We have some exciting projects to tackle, working with customers to develop a new Resident Charter and supporting the city’s ambitions around zero carbon.”
Angela brings over 30 years’ experience in leading the delivery of frontline customer services for housing associations across Greater Manchester. More recently, she led Bristol City Council’s housing management and estate services departments.
She said: "I am passionate about making sure we deliver the best services we can to residents. They should always be at the forefront of our listening, thinking and actions and the key to getting this right is about the colleagues and contractors who deliver our services.
"I am excited to join the team, listening to residents and colleagues, working together and continuing to develop and improve our services.”
