This October, six million low-income families face an overnight cut to their incomes of £20 a week (£1,040 a year).
This cut removes the £20 a week increase to Universal Credit (UC) and Working Tax Credit the government introduced in March 2020. Working families make up the majority of families who will be affected.
We know that this money has made a big difference to lots of tenants.
