We recently discovered that residents at Whitebeck Court had not received their monthly energy bill discounts from the government - amounting to a total of approximately £400 since October 2022.
The government introduced the scheme in the build-up to rising energy costs, offering millions of households help with their bills to the tune of £67 per month, paid directly to energy suppliers.
However, due to a government error, many of our Whitebeck Court residents haven't received ANY of the support, which means they are eligible for a one-off lump sum of £400 - to be paid directly into their bank accounts.
There are two ways that residents can claim their money - either on the phone (call 0808 175 3287) or online.
This week our Digital Inclusion team, Andrew and Natalie, set up dedicated sessions for Whitebeck residents to help them to apply online. It takes a total of 5 minutes to do it and all you need is your phone number and bank account details.
In Tuesday's session, they managed to speak to 7 residents, securing them £400 in energy bill support each!
If you think that you may be eligible for this one-off support, head on down to one of our Online Support sessions and speak to Andrew and Natalie who will be able to help you further:
