In April, our repairs contractor Equans, hosted their North West Services Apprentice Assessment Centre in preparation for recruiting 11 apprentices, across several disciplines, to their Manchester City Council partnerships.
The event was the first of its kind and aimed to create a level playing field to identify future talent, whilst providing prospective apprentices with an opportunity to learn more about Equans, Salford City College and connect with employees and apprentices working on the contracts.
With just under 1000 candidates applying across the 11 vacancies, months of preparation and shortlisting went into the event to ensure it was a success.
Every candidate who made it to the assessment centre demonstrated key transferable skills and values across the day that Equans look for in their future apprentices - making the assessors' final shortlisting decision a very difficult one.
Equans will be interviewing the shortlisted candidates later this week and welcoming the successful applicants onto the MCC partnerships in September this year!
A huge thank you to all the Equans staff who volunteered their time and recognised the value in such events, as well as existing Apprentices who provided valuable insight around their experiences.
